Several people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a multi-vehicle crash in northeast Calgary on Tuesday night.
Emergency crews were called to 52 Street NE just south of 16 Avenue NE around 7 p.m. for a collision involving at least six vehicles.
Calgary police say one vehicle was driving northbound and collided with at least five other vehicles.
Several people were sent to hospital in stable condition.
Police initially said a driver of one of the vehicles, a man in his 20s, had been rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition. His injuries were later downgraded to non-life-threatening.
There is no word on the cause of the crash. Investigators say impairment is not being considered but speed could have been a factor.
Northbound 52 Street NE was closed between Madigan Drive and 16 Avenue NE for around two hours. The road has since reopened.
This is a developing story.
