Motorcyclist seriously injured in SW Calgary crash

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision involving a car late Monday afternoon in Calgary’s southwest.

Emergency crews were called to Bow Trail SW between Old Banff Coach Road and 85 Street SW around 5:23 p.m. for a two-vehicle collision.

According to police, the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.

The intersection of Bow Trail and 85 Street was blocked off as investigators worked at the scene, causing significant traffic delays in the area.

Police have not released further details about the cause of the crash.
