Police offering $100K reward for arrest of murder suspect

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Police are asking for help to find a murder suspect and are offering a $100,000 reward for his capture.
The Calgary Police Service (CPS) has partnered with the Bolo program and Crime Stoppers in offering the reward for the arrest of organized crime affiliate Kier Bryan Granado.
Granado is wanted a Canada-wide warrant for the murder of 26-year-old Hussein Merhi in December 2015.
“This investigation will not end until you are apprehended,” Chief Cst. Mark Neufeld said speaking directly to Granado during his press conference. “There’s nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.”
As part of the campaign, announced Wednesday, nine billboards will go up in Calgary as well as wrapped vans driven by CPS employees advertising the reward for Granado’s capture.
Bolo program director Max Langlois said normally rewards are posted at $50,000 but in the case of organized crime, they’re happy to double it.
“As of today, in various strategic sectors of Calgary, seven digital billboards, two static billboards (and) nine bus shelters featuring our ads,” Langlois said.
Police believe that Granado is still in Alberta and are urging him to find a lawyer and turn himself in.
