Dog found dead on apartment balcony: Calgary police

A dog is dead after being found on a downtown apartment balcony after falling from above, Calgary police say.

They received calls about the incident to the Chelsea Estates on 14 Avenue SW shortly after 8 p.m. on July 23.

Officers say the dog did not belong to the tenants of the apartment, adding they believe the dog came from the floor above and “may have gone over the balcony, landing on a balcony below.”

Investigators are not sure how the incident happened at this time.

Meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about this incident can call police at 403-266-1234 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
