Sports Illustrated swimsuit models strut their stuff in Banff

The people behind the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue have figured out what makes the breathtaking spread of mountains in Banff National Park even more eye catching.
Just add swimsuit models to the mix– three of them to be exact. Brazilian surfer Bruna Schmitz, American volleyball player Kim Glass and Paraguayan javelin thrower Leryn Franco all traveled to the park in July for the photoshoot.
Julie Canning with with Banff/Lake Louise tourism says having the park featured in SI is great for business.
“It’s coverage that is priceless. [In] the competitive world of tourism, to get this kind of media exposure is certainly something worth celebrating.”
In fact, one out of every three adults in the United States thumbs through the issue every year.
The issue is now available in stores.
