Driver ejected in rollover crash on Stoney Trail in SE Calgary

A stretch of northbound Stoney Trail was closed for several hours in southeast Calgary after a serious injury crash on Tuesday evening.

Emergency crews were called to the northbound lanes of Stoney approaching Glenmore Trail around 6:15 p.m. after reports of a single-vehicle rollover.

Calgary police say the sole occupant of the truck involved in the crash was ejected as it rolled over.

The driver was rushed to hospital in serious but stable condition.

Northbound Stoney was closed at 114 Avenue SE, and the northbound ramp from 114 onto Stoney was also closed. The roads reopened shortly after 9 p.m.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
